The Olds Municipal Library is a registered charity and can provide tax receipts for donations over $10.00. This includes cash donations, book donations, and donations toward our annual fundraising events. We appreciate all the support given to us by the community. Financial donations can be made in person at the library or with the donate button below

*All donations over $10.00 are eligible for a tax receipt. Tax receipts will be mailed at the beginning of the following tax year by January 31st.

Summer Camp Scholarships: Not all families can afford to register their children in all the summer camps they wish or need. It can be particularly difficult for families who have more than one child. We are looking for funding for our summer scholarship program. Parents can apply for the scholarship for one week, several weeks or even the whole summer! Donate now

Pillage the Village: 2017 EVENT CANCELLED - We hold an annual medieval feast in May. This is a great opportunity to pull out that costume you've been dying to wear or get a new one! Medival reanctments, dancing, juggling, music, vendors, and medieval food all in one night! To see what's happening check out the website at

Annual Book Sale: We hold an annual book sale, dates may vary. Donate any amount and get great reads! Our next Sale will be held TBA

Donate a Car: Have a car that you just can't get rid of? Have someone pick it up and the Olds Library will receive a donation! Better yet, you'll receive a tax receipt.Click the link to begin the process:

Book Donations: The library accepts gently used donations of hardcover and softcover books of recent publications. If we use your books in our collection we can provide you with a tax receipt for your items.

Adopt a Magazine

Would you like to adopt a magazine subscription for the library in the name of your business. We will place a label with your logo and contact information on every issue throughout the year. 

We happily accept gift subscriptions for the library. If you would like to donate a magazine, and would like a tax receipt, simply sign up for the Gift Subscription and bring your receipt to Lesley Winfield at the Olds Library. We thank you for your support!
