This quick one hour lunch session happens on a regular monthly basis and participants are encouraged to bring their device and learn how to use it with the library. Want to learn French? Spanish? English? Dutch? By attending this session you will learn how to use the libraries language learning software. The software is available to you at any computer, including at home. This session will get you started, teach you how to navigate the software and start you on the road to learning almost any language you wish.

» One-on-One Computer Instruction

Here’s a chance for you to learn those skills you have always wanted to learn without the fears and hassles of a classroom. Our friendly staff and volunteers are there to give you their undivided attention for one full hour based on the topics listed below. Ask the questions you need answered! You must book at least a day in advance and talk to the instructor before attending the course.

Please speak to the Computer Services Clerk 24 hours in advance. All One-on-One sessions are 60 minutes in length.

    Topics available for instruction include:
  • Advanced Internet Searching (databases, more from Google, etc.)
  • Online Shopping and Banking (security, eBay, PayPal, etc.)
  • Social Networking (using Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Beginner Computing
  • MS Office Suite (includes Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • iPods, MP3 Players, eBook readers and other digital devices
  • Digital Cameras
  • Mac for Beginners

Fee: $25.00 per hour

» Beginner Computing For Everyone

Learn the basics of managing a computer in this four day course designed for those who grew up without basic computer knowledge. Pre-registration is required.
