How to Use the Website
Features
Welcome to the Olds Municipal Library Website! We have tried to design our website to be informative, fun and easy to use. Please note, that our site requires the use of the Adobe Flash Player. Please click here to download the latest version.
You will notice four main sections to each webpage - the banner highlighting our logo at the top, the green bar on the left, the main area in the middle and the blue bar to the right. You may also notice a small bar at the bottom; this contains our address and contact information, as well as a link back to the main page.
The green bar contains news and updates and our upcoming special events.
The blue bar contains our hours of operation and links to our kid and teen areas of the site. There are also links you can click to help finance the library, courtesy of Google's AdSense program [coming soon!].
The main area is where the information is displayed. At both the top and bottom of this area is the menu bar which is used for navigating around the site (see the navigation section for more information).
The banner displays our logo in the center, and showcases our love of books. Please click on our logo to return to the main page at any time.
Navigation
Please use the menu bar located at the top and bottom of the central area to navigate through our site. To return to the home page at any time, please click on our logo in the middle of the banner located that the very top of the page. You may also click on "The Olds Municipal Library" link, located at the very bottom of the page.

this button will allow you access to our main catalogue. To use the kids catalogue,
please see the KidZone page
Memberships: Find out the benefits and costs associated with membership at the Olds Municipal Library.

quick link to the login page for your library account. Located on the main
page. Please note, this feature can also be accessed via the main or kids catalogues,
by clicking on the "My Account" tab. Have your 14 digit barcode and 4
digit PIN ready to login.
KidZone: A page filled
with links for kids; includes our kids catalogue, kid-friendly websites and
what books are popular now. Located in the blue bar.
TeenZone: A page just for teens; includes our catalogue, TeenSRC and more. Located in the blue bar.
